What does OLMECK mean?
Anything that has stood the test of time is, by definition, long-lasting, strong, durable, flexible, resistant, valuable, and worth exploring.
The Olmec people of Mesoamerica used forms of rubber as early as 3,600 years ago — crafting durable materials for practical use and even making rubber balls for their sporting events.
The name Olmec comes from two Nahuatl words: ōlli, meaning “natural rubber,” and mēcatl, meaning “people.” They were, quite literally, the “rubber people.”
Olmeck began with that same spirit — introducing advanced rubber-based waterproofing solutions. Today, we’ve evolved our expertise into high-performance polyurethane systems, like our flagship Lava 20, built to deliver unmatched durability, flexibility, and protection.
